In this Beanie Boo skit, I’m following Buckwheat while he’s bored, lonely, and officially done rotting on video games. After failing the whole “get a girlfriend” thing (rip), he decides it’s time to do what his mom’s been saying for years: go outside and make friends. So he does what any socially confused Beanie Boo would do… he asks the internet how to make friends, and it basically says: “be funny.” So Buckwheat tries jokes at school lunch, then at the park, and it is an actual disaster. He’s out here dropping the most painful puns (yes, including “satis-factory” and “gummy bear”), getting threatened, getting roasted, and even getting spaghetti slapped in his face. When being funny doesn’t work, he tries bribery (with literal Monopoly money… help), and then goes full last resort begging-on-his-paws-and-knees mode. But in the end, the one thing that finally works is just meeting someone who matches his vibe—another dude who actually laughs and trades jokes back. Takeaway: forcing it is miserable, but the right friend will click, and suddenly you’re both hyped to go play Ember Fight 2000.
