We’re up on the roof in the afternoon sun, trying to get this roof build moving on. The job today is basically infilling between the valleys and getting everything sitting right, which sounds simple until you’re actually up there dealing with the details. Steve got in on Friday, so we’re playing catch-up and getting the bits in between sorted, trimming the fells, and marking up where we need extra noggins so it all sits nice. It’s one of those days where you’re sweating, dusty, and you realise the roof is a bit more complex than you first thought. It’s also a bit of a live, so it’s the usual banter while we work—Steve getting told off for “mumbling”, me getting called out for not reading plans (which is fair… I roll up and do my thing), and chatting to viewers about what’s going on across the week.
