In this tutorial, I’m building a complete full stack LMS (Learning Management System) using the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js. The idea is simple: educators can publish courses, and students can search, enroll, and watch lectures online. I start by showing you the full project demo: homepage UI, course list with search filter, course details page with chapters/lectures + free preview, and the course player where students can watch videos, mark lessons complete, and rate the course. Then I implement the real “full stack” features that make this project job-ready. For authentication and user management, I use Clerk, so you get ready-made Sign In/Sign Up/Profile components without wasting time. For payments, I integrate Stripe (test mode in the demo), so students can purchase courses and educators can earn. On the frontend, I set up the project with Vite, React Router (including nested educator routes), Tailwind CSS, Google Outfit font, and a clean folder structure for student/educator components and pages. Finally, after building everything, I deploy the LMS on Vercel—exactly the kind of end-to-end MERN project that helps you stand out in interviews.
