In this video, I build and deploy a full stack Movie Ticket Booking website using the MERN stack, step by step. You’ll see the complete flow: users can sign up, browse “Now Showing” movies, open a movie details page, pick a date/time, choose their preferred seats, and then complete the booking. I also added features like favorites, a “My Bookings” page to track booking history, and a clean multi-page UI based on the Figma design. For authentication, I use Clerk, so you get multiple signup options (email, Google, and phone) plus multi-session support. That means you can add another account and switch profiles without signing out, which is super useful in real-world apps. I also integrate Inngest to handle background jobs and scheduling—so when a new movie is added, I can email all users, send booking confirmation emails, and even schedule reminder emails a few hours before showtime. On the admin side, I build a dashboard where admin can add new movies, set prices, create multiple show times, and manage bookings. Finally, I deploy the full app online for free using Vercel, so you can add the live link to your resume or even submit it as a college project.
