In this video I’m testing and reviewing the Maui Moisture Strength & Length Castor & Neem Oil Shampoo to see if it’s really giving “hair growth shampoo” vibes and, most importantly, if it actually cleans my scalp. I’ve been a little off track and neglecting my hair for a few months, so I wanted something simple to help me get back into a consistent wash day routine. What caught my attention was the neem oil (I recently realized neem oil is really good for my scalp), plus the peppermint oil for that refreshing feel—because neem oil by itself can smell a little funky. I go over the smell, texture, ingredients, and how it performs in the shower. To me, this is a basic, straightforward drugstore shampoo—nothing super fancy or “extra” in the ingredient list—but it surprised me in a good way. It lathered really well for a sulfate-free shampoo, gave me a slight cooling sensation, and cleansed my scalp very well. After rinsing, my hair felt nice and silky (not like the most bomb feeling ever, but definitely good for a drugstore shampoo). I ended up doing two applications like I normally do, and I didn’t even need a lot of product.
