Today, I’m sewing the side of the house and the chimney with rickrack on the Quilter’s Cottage House Block from Lori Holt’s Quilter’s Cottage Book. This is a big, beautiful block, and it’s really starting to take shape. It’s just me and my trusty straight-stitch Janome sewing machine, Ms. Molly, enjoying some cozy sewing time. This is a slow and peaceful quilting project that’s perfect if you love relaxing stitches and taking your time. Yesterday, I finished sewing the windows on this sweet house block, and today we’re adding even more charm. Quilter’s Cottage feels like stepping into a happy farmhouse with flowers on the gate and quilts drying in the sunshine.
