On a recent morning, I met up with Rob and Lewis at the first skatepark in North Texas built after the year 2000! The Edge Skatepark in Allen, TX, was opened in 2005 and while there may be better parks around now, this one is still a lot of fun, even for a few old guys just having fun - because when you're skating, isn't it supposed to be fun??? Hope everyone out there has a great crew to get together and have fun with! About This Video

In this session I rolled out early and met up with Rob and Lewis at The Edge Skatepark in Allen, Texas—one of those parks that’s got some history behind it. The Edge opened in 2005, and it was the first skatepark in North Texas built after the year 2000. Sure, there are newer parks now that might be “better” on paper, but this one still delivers where it counts: it’s fun to skate, and it’s got enough variety to keep a few old dudes moving without taking ourselves too seriously. That’s really the whole point of this video—getting out with your crew, putting some wheels on concrete, and remembering that skating is supposed to be fun. I’m not out there trying to prove anything; I’m out there because I love it, and I’m stoked when I’ve got friends to share a morning session with. If you’ve got a crew, hit them up and go skate—because you don’t quit skating just because you got older.
