Wild Bill Walker and his Pro Designed pads have kept skaters of all levels safe since 1986! Sadly, he passed away this summer (2023), leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship, a love of skating (four wheels, 8 wheels, however many you rolled with) and a catchphrase that was almost as big as his personality! We would love to hear your Wild Bill and Pro Designed pads' stories - please comment below to share with the community. About This Video

In this one I’m talking about a piece of skateboarding history that’s saved a whole lot of knees and elbows since the mid-80s: Wild Bill Walker and his Pro Designed pads. Bill’s been keeping skaters of all levels safer since 1986, and this video is part review, part tribute—because we lost him in the summer of 2023, and I wanted to take a minute to honor what he built and what he meant to skating. I get into Bill’s legacy of craftsmanship and that real-deal love of rolling—four wheels, eight wheels, however many you were pushing. The pads are the headline, but the bigger takeaway is the culture behind them: a skater making gear for skaters, and doing it for decades with a personality as big as his catchphrase. I also shout out Houston Skateboards for the Wild Bill footage that helped make this tribute possible, and I point you toward Texas Skateshop in Gilmer, TX in case you’re hunting for any remaining Pro Designed stock. If you’ve got a Wild Bill or Pro Designed pads story, I want to hear it—drop it in the comments and let’s keep that memory rolling.
