In this video I’m doing a real-world check-in on my New School Retro setup—now that I’ve actually been riding it for a while. It’s one thing to bolt a setup together and do a first impression, but it’s a totally different thing once you’ve pushed it around, taken it through normal sessions, and figured out what works (and what doesn’t) when you’re not in “brand new gear” mode. I talk through how it’s functioning, how it feels under my feet, and what I’ve noticed as the honeymoon phase wears off. The whole point here is ride feedback: how the board rolls, turns, and behaves in the situations I actually skate. I’m focused on practical stuff—what feels solid, what feels weird, and what I’d tweak if you’re thinking about building something similar.
