A centurion shows great faith, Jesus raises a widow’s son, and we see a beautiful moment of forgiveness with the woman who anoints Jesus’ feet.
About This Video
In Day 7 of my Luke Bible Reading, I’m walking through Luke chapter 7 and focusing on the kind of faith that literally amazes Jesus. We see the centurion come in with this humble, confident trust—he believes Jesus can speak a word and change everything. That part always challenges me because it’s not loud or performative faith; it’s simple obedience and real belief in Jesus’ authority.
Then we move into one of the most tender moments: Jesus raising the widow’s son. I don’t read that and stay the same—Jesus notices her, He has compassion, and He steps in when she’s at her lowest. And to close out the chapter, we get that beautiful scene with the woman who anoints Jesus’ feet. It’s a reminder I need over and over: forgiveness changes how we love. When I remember how much I’ve been forgiven, it shifts my worship, my gratitude, and the way I show up in my everyday life.
