In today’s Luke Bible Reading, I’m walking through Luke chapter 23, where we see the crucifixion of Jesus and all the heavy, heartbreaking moments leading up to it. This is one of those chapters that I don’t like to rush, so I’m reading it with a slower, more intentional pace—really paying attention to what’s happening with Pilate, Herod, the crowd, and how Jesus responds through all of it. Even when everything around Him is loud and unfair, Jesus stays steady, and that alone is something I always want to sit with.
As I read, I’m focusing on what this chapter shows us about surrender, sacrifice, and the cost of our salvation. Luke 23 is hard, but it’s also full of truth that strengthens my faith—especially when I remember that Jesus chose the cross. If you’re doing this Luke Bible Reading plan with me, I hope this video helps you stay consistent, reflect deeper, and keep showing up to the Word even when the passage feels intense. My biggest takeaway is that God’s plan was still moving, even in the darkest moment, and that gives me so much perspective for my own life.
