In today’s Luke Bible Reading, I’m on Day 5 and we’re walking through Luke chapter 5—“Called To Follow Him.” I’m reading and reflecting on what it looks like when Jesus calls ordinary people into something bigger, and how obedience can start with one simple “yes.” This chapter is such a reminder that God can meet you right in the middle of your everyday routine and completely shift your direction. As I read, I’m focusing on the heart posture behind following Him: trust, surrender, and being willing to move when He says move. I also love how Luke 5 highlights that Jesus doesn’t wait for us to be “perfect” before He invites us closer—He calls us, cleans us, and teaches us as we go. My takeaway for you is to let this chapter challenge you in a practical way: where is God asking you to follow Him more closely in your habits, your schedule, your finances, or your faith routine?
