About This Video
In Day 18 of my Luke Bible Reading series, I’m walking through Luke chapter 18 and focusing on what Jesus teaches about persistent prayer and what true faith really looks like. This chapter is packed: we start with the parable about continuing to pray and not giving up, and it’s such a good reminder for my real life—when I’m waiting, budgeting, planning, or just trying to stay consistent, I need to keep bringing it back to the Lord instead of getting discouraged.
I also talk through Jesus welcoming children, which honestly checks my heart every time. It’s a picture of coming to God with humility and trust, not trying to “earn” my way in. And then we get into the rich ruler, which is one of those passages that makes you pause and evaluate what you’re holding onto. I’m tying it all together with the way Jesus predicts His death again—because the whole point isn’t just better habits, it’s following Him with a surrendered heart. My takeaway from Luke 18 is simple but challenging: keep praying, stay humble, and let faith be real enough to change what I cling to.
