In today’s Luke Bible reading, I’m walking through Luke chapter 17 and it’s one of those chapters that gently (and sometimes loudly) checks my heart. We see Jesus heal ten lepers, but only one comes back to thank Him—and that moment really made me pause. I talk through what gratitude looks like in real life faith, not just “God is good” words, but actually turning back to Jesus and giving Him the glory. It’s such a simple scene, but it carries a big reminder for my everyday routines: I don’t want to rush past God’s goodness and only come running when I need something. I also spend time on Jesus’ teaching about faith and the Kingdom of God. I share what stood out to me about how faith isn’t about putting on a show or trying to control outcomes—it’s about trusting Him even when I don’t see everything clearly yet. And when Jesus talks about the Kingdom, it’s a reminder that God is working in ways that don’t always look flashy or obvious, but they’re real. This chapter encouraged me to stay consistent in my Bible study rhythms and keep my heart soft—faithful, thankful, and focused on the bigger picture of what God is doing.
