In Day 12 of my Luke Bible Reading series, I’m in Luke chapter 12 and it’s all about living ready. Jesus speaks straight to the heart on worry, greed, and what it looks like to stay watchful—so I’m reading through the chapter with that “okay Lord, what are You trying to show me in my real life?” mindset. This chapter is such a needed reminder that God sees our needs, and I don’t have to live stressed out or scrambling like everything depends on me. I also talk through the bigger takeaway: keeping my eyes on eternal things. When I get tempted to chase security through stuff, money, or control, Luke 12 pulls me back to trusting God and being faithful with what He’s put in front of me. The call to stay ready isn’t meant to make me anxious—it’s meant to keep me focused, grounded, and living with purpose.
