Jesus sends out the seventy-two, teaches about loving our neighbor through the Good Samaritan story, and visits Mary and Martha.
About This Video
In today’s Luke Bible Reading, I’m walking through Luke chapter 10 (Day 10), and there is so much practical, everyday “Christian planner lifestyle” application in this one. We start with Jesus sending out the seventy-two, and I talk about what it looks like to go where God sends you with trust—focused, not distracted, and obedient even when it’s uncomfortable. I also reflect on the joy of seeing God move, but keeping my heart grounded in what really matters: belonging to Him.
Then we get into one of the most famous passages in Luke—the Good Samaritan—and I share how this challenges me to redefine “neighbor” in a way that’s not convenient. It’s not just about who I like or who is easy to help; it’s about showing mercy with my time, my resources, and my attitude. We wrap up with Mary and Martha, and I connect it to routines and productivity: I love a good plan, but I’m reminded that sitting with Jesus has to come first. This chapter is such a check-in for my faith, my priorities, and how I’m serving others day-to-day.
