*🎣 GEAR WE USED IN THIS VIDEO (Amazon link)* http://www.amazon.com/shop/floridafishingcouple We set out early from Key Largo with one goal… find wahoo. With some great intel from Capt Deb at Bluewater Girl Charters and gear from Max Torrez, we headed offshore and started trolling our way toward the Key Largo Humps. Along the way, we picked up a couple of solid blackfin tuna, but we stayed focused on the target. Then it happened… a beautiful wahoo came over the rail. Back at the house the next day, we break down both the tuna and the wahoo and turn it into a full sushi spread with friends. Multiple styles, fresh fish, and a great time all around. In this video: • Trolling for wahoo offshore Key Largo • Fishing the Key Largo Humps • Blackfin tuna catches along the way • Landing a beautiful wahoo • How to filet tuna and wahoo • Sushi party with multiple preparations Huge thank you to: Capt Deb (@BluewaterGirlCharters on IG) for the intel Max Torrez (@shithawk_jigs on IG) for the gear Have you ever targeted wahoo offshore? About This Video

It was o-dark-30 in Key Largo and you already know what that means—wahoo time. I rolled out in the rain with the boys (Haiko and Matthew), set the spread, and started trolling our way offshore toward the Key Largo Humps. The weather got sporty quick with those 4–5 footers, but we stuck to the plan. Along the way we put a couple solid blackfin tuna in the box, bled them out right, and kept saying it: we’re here for one thing. Then it finally happened—fish on, no jump, a little headshake, and then color… WAHOO. When that fish came over the rail the whole vibe changed, sun popped out, and we were yelling thanks to Max Torrez because those plugs got it done. Capt Deb’s intel had us right where we needed to be, almost right by the hump. Day two we went full catch-and-cook: I broke down the tuna and that big boy wahoo, cleaned up the slime, pulled the bloodline, and we turned it into a full-on sushi party—nigiri, rolls, spicy tuna hand rolls, the whole deal. Lousy rainy Sunday in the Keys? We’ll still find something delicious to do.
