In this video I’m doing a full self haircut transformation on my own head, and you might not even recognize me because I went back to straight hair. I basically got bored of curls, and because I’ve been going from straight hair to perm, I can switch it up whenever I want. I’ve had straight hair for about a year, and on top of that I grew my beard out during lockdown and didn’t get a proper haircut for a couple months… so yeah, it was time to sort it out. I’m testing the Soft Cut System 360 mirror from Lipfis (they sent it out for me to review) and it honestly helps a lot when you’re trying to see the back and keep things clean. It’s light, travel-friendly, hooks onto doors with the little antennas, and the 3-mirror setup makes self cutting way easier. I get the fade done and then I tackle the beard to finish the transformation. I’ll be real though: straight hair at the back is harder for me, so I used thinning scissors and did what I could—don’t be too harsh on the shear work.
