If your Novation FLkey isn’t working properly in FL Studio—maybe the keys don’t play, the pads don’t trigger, or the transport controls are acting weird—this video is my step-by-step fix. FLkey keyboards are supposed to auto-integrate the moment you plug them in, but in rare cases it doesn’t, or the settings get messed up. So I show you how to manually set everything back the right way so the MIDI scripts, keys, pads, and transport all work together like they should. I start with the driver install (yes, do that first), then I go straight into FL Studio: Options > MIDI Settings. I show you how to refresh the device list if it’s not showing up, how to enable the FLkey inputs, and why the input ports must use different port numbers. Then I walk through assigning the correct scripts (DAW vs MIDI—don’t swap them), and matching the output ports to the input setup. If you still have issues after that, I also show how I update the firmware using Novation Components—standalone didn’t work for me, but the web version did—and how to confirm the update from the keyboard.
