How To Mix (part 2): Getting The LEVELS Right

In this mixing tutorial you will learn how to mix a song in FL Studio in order to get the levels right. You will learn how to get the volume right of every individual element in your song in relation to each other and how to get a balanced mix. In this example we're mixing a trance track, but the same techniques applies to most EDM. You can look at this as a basic starting point. Various genres will favor different elements in the mix, and will therefore require you to mix somewhat differently. This is part two of my "how to mix" series. Make sure to check out the other videos as well if you want to learn how to mix in fl Studio. Note: When you EQ a sound you will alter it's intensity. This will affect how you adjust it's volume. Like wise, the volume of any given sound will dictate how you EQ it. This means that you will have to go back and forwards in order to get the levels right.
