It’s finally that time of the year, and I’m so excited because Christmas is literally my favorite season. I’ve been living in Korea for the past 3 years, but December is usually finals season for me, so I never really got to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in Seoul properly. This year I have a bit more free time, so I’m doing two Christmas-themed videos: this first one is more like getting into the Christmas period, and the next one will be full-blown Christmas vibes. And yes, Christmas in Korea feels different from Italy—back home it’s very family-based, while here it’s more like a couples holiday, almost like Valentine’s Day—but I still love the lights, decorations, and the cold winter weather with blue skies. In this vlogmas, I take you with me to Suwon just to finally see the Starfield Library, because I’ve wanted to visit for so long. It was stunning and super photogenic, even though it wasn’t decorated for Christmas like we expected, and the café at the top was closed (pain). After filming and taking a million pictures, we grabbed food at the food court (I found a vegan burger + salad situation and it was so satisfying). Then I show you a tiny Christmas haul from Modern House and Daiso—perfect if you live in a small one-room like me—and I end the day café-hopping through the cutest Christmas decor, surviving long waits for seats and photo zones, and heading to Yeongdeungpo to see the famous light show for the first time.
