In this video I’m reviewing VION’s window sunshades for the Tesla Model Y, and the big focus is simple: keeping the cabin cooler while adding a bit of privacy without making the car feel closed off. The kit comes with eight shades total—one for the front windshield, four for the side windows, one for the rear windshield, and two for the rear triangular windows—plus two storage bags to pack everything away when you’re not using them. VION also uses a six-layer material build, which is really what you want if you’re trying to cut down heat and block UV. Installation is honestly the best part. Everything is labeled so you know exactly where each piece goes, and you basically just press them into place for a snug fit—no tools, no drama. The rear shade can use extra mounting clips if you want it even more secure. I was able to cover all the windows in under five minutes, and the foldable design is a nice touch because it makes them easy to store and lets you still view outside without fully removing them. Overall, I think it’s a high-quality product that’s engineered well, and in my opinion it’s definitely worth getting if you want a cooler car with added privacy.
