In this video I’m reviewing the Allbirds Wool Dasher Mizzles—an eco-friendly athletic sneaker that’s built for everyday, casual walking and running, especially when the weather gets rough. I break down what makes them “eco” in the first place: they’re designed to be carbon neutral and made with a mix of natural and recycled materials. You’re getting ethically sourced ZQ Merino wool up top, a fluorine-free water repellent coating, and even laces made from recycled plastic bottles. I also cover comfort and performance, because that’s what really matters day to day. Like most Allbirds I’ve tried, these feel great right out of the box with no break-in period. The dual-density SweetFoam midsole (made with carbon negative green EVA) gives a responsive ride with ample cushioning and solid stability—based on my short walks and runs. The mid-cut sock collar is a standout: it helps block cold and debris, gives the shoe a unique look I’m a big fan of, and makes the whole design feel clean and minimal. My one caution is that, in my opinion, they might be too warm for summer months.
