About This Video

In this video, I’m reviewing the brand new Allbirds SuperLight Trainers—one of the lightest Allbirds shoes you can buy right now, and also one of their lowest carbon footprint options. I break down the colorways (Blizzard, Pure Azure, and Calm Cargo), sizing guidance (sizes 8–14, and go up at least a half size if you’re wide-footed), and the 30-day hassle-free return policy if you need to swap sizes. I also walk through the construction details: a breathable FSC-certified eucalyptus fiber mesh upper combined with recycled monofilament, a unique tongue design (half built-in, half detached), and laces/eyelets that sit on top of the upper instead of threading through it. Underfoot, you’re getting Allbirds’ SuperLight Foam—similar to their sugarcane-based SweetFoam, but nitrogen-infused to keep things lightweight and lower impact—plus natural rubber traction pads on the outsole. These have a 6mm heel drop and a flatter, stable profile, so I see them more as a gym/training shoe (CrossFit, HIIT, squats) than a commuting or running shoe. After my gym session, they performed well with no foot soreness, and overall they’re honestly one of my favorite-looking Allbirds models so far.
