Why I test ALL of my fountain pen inks for water resistance

I have a love/hate relationship with water resistant fountain pen inks. I want my inks to be somewhat water resistant just in case in case the unthinkable happens. I don't want to risk losing my stories, journal entries, poem drafts, and everything else I use fountain pens for. But waterproof, bulletproof, and archival inks have been so hit and miss for me. Some are fine, but many will stain or clog your pen. That's why I test standard fountain pen inks to figure out which ones have water resistant properties, even if they aren't advertised.
