About This Video

Hey friends, it’s KJ! In this video I’m taking you along for our very first embarkation day on the Disney Magic, and I’m not kidding when I say starting the day early made it feel extra magical. We kicked everything off at Disney’s Grand Floridian around 9:00 a.m., hopped on Disney Cruise Line transportation to Port Canaveral, and our bus was the very first one there. That meant we were basically walking through security with no crowds, and we even got to see the port almost completely empty—which was such a cool way to start the trip. Once we boarded, I did what we always like to do: rope drop the kids club (yes, me and the kids—Johnny would’ve preferred food immediately). I walk you through the Oceaneer Club spaces like Andy’s Room with the Slinky Dog slide, Pixie Hollow, Superhero Academy, Disney Junior, and the Oceaneer Lab areas like the craft studio and animator’s studio. After lunch, we head to our stateroom for the first time and I give a full room tour, including the split bathrooms, veranda, storage, and a big heads-up about outlets and the fact that the walls aren’t magnetic on the Magic. We also peek at Edge (the teen space), and then we wrap the day with dinner at Animator’s Palate. I share what I ordered (hello, black truffle pasta) and what our server recommended, plus my thoughts on how the Magic’s Animator’s Palate feels like the “OG” blank-canvas version compared to the newer ships.
