About This Video

It’s finally embarkation day on the brand new Disney Destiny, and I’m taking you with us from Port Everglades all the way through our very first day on board. We start with what we always try to “rope drop” on day one: the kids club open house. I walk you through the “it’s a small world” nursery (seriously the artwork is stunning), the toddler room (I have notes on that slide), the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab where we designed a roller coaster, Fairytale Hall (Rapunzel, Belle’s reading nook, Arendelle), Star Wars Cargo Bay, and the Marvel Super Hero Academy. After that, we do our food plan—Marceline Market and Mickey’s Festival of Foods—with a big mom tip: I don’t come eat first. We do guest services and the kids club first, then eat later when it’s empty and seating is easy. We also pop into Edna À La Mode’s Sweets (my kids are in their Incredibles era), and I share how I snagged an extra Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation for pirate night. Then I give you a full verandah stateroom tour (split bath, storage, outlets/USB-C, stroller fit, Pack ’n Play/Diaper Genie notes, and my unpopular shower opinion). We wrap with muster, sail away vibes, and getting ready for the Loki show—Day 1 energy is real.
