About This Video

Hey, it’s KJ (Disney Mom Life), and this video is our very first day at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point with three kids five and under (5, 3, and 2). I take you through the whole flow—from breakfast at Cabanas, to the walk over the bridge, to the tram situation (including my best stroller tip so you don’t have to fully collapse your whole life). I also show what’s waiting when you arrive: guest services, sand-accessible wheelchairs, stroller rentals, water stations, shopping (Disney Tings + Treasures of Alra), and where everything actually sits on the island. For our crew, the big win was the kid-friendly stuff: we rope dropped Sebastian’s Cove (huge success), hit the splash areas, and knocked out character meets fast by timing the lines (they cut them off about 10 minutes after start). I also share my soft-serve-in-a-cup trick (especially with toddlers) and a major “learn from my mistake” moment—there’s a ramp near the Watering Hole Bar that saves you from hauling strollers through sand. We do check out the beach and that crystal-blue water (it really is gorgeous), but I’m honest: we’re just not beach people, and with three littles it’s a lot of “zone defense.” Overall, we liked Lookout Cay even more than Castaway Cay because it felt more centralized, the tram drop-off is clutch, and the day felt smooth—especially on the smaller Disney Magic.
