About This Video

In this video I’m sharing 10 minimalist rules that help you save money and prevent clutter—what a combination, right? I walk through each rule and put it into real-life, low income living terms, because a lot of us have way more stuff than we actually use. I talk about the 80/20 principle (how we wear about 20% of our clothes 80% of the time), the 90/10 and 95/5 ideas (quality over quantity), and even Project 333 where you pick 33 items and wear them for 3 months to prove you don’t need a packed closet to feel put together. I also cover a few rules I hadn’t heard of before, like the 90/90 rule (did I use it in the last 90 days or will I use it in the next 90?) and the 30/30 rule (if it’s $30 or more, can I wait 30 hours before buying?). The biggest perspective shift for me was the “house on fire” rule—because honestly, there’s nothing in my home worth risking my life for. The only things I can’t replace are my physical pictures, so I’m planning to scan them and email them to myself, along with important paperwork. My goal is simple: keep what matters, stop wasting money on junk, and don’t let little messes turn into overwhelming piles.
