In this video, I’m walking through the latest Todoist updates to the Upcoming (weekly) view and sharing my honest thoughts on where it’s headed. If you use Todoist for weekly planning, the changes are immediately noticeable—especially for Pro users. You can now scroll infinitely through your calendar, see completed tasks from previous days, and move tasks around with drag-and-drop in a way that feels a lot smoother for real planning. I also cover a really important workflow improvement: reassigning a task to a different project without it getting kicked off your calendar. That’s the kind of small detail that makes the app feel more usable day-to-day. That said, I’m still not fully satisfied with the calendar side of Todoist. I want more flexibility—things like a proper daily view or multi-day options that make it easier to plan in tighter time windows. I wrap up by talking about upcoming features like multiple window support and an AI email-to-task tool (launching March 13), plus how to enable experimental features in advanced settings if you want early access.
