I bought one of those ridiculous Amazon “open frame” gamer-gone-shaped cases with a three-star rating, because obviously that’s a sign of premium engineering. Out of the box it immediately tried to ruin my day: I lifted it by the front handle and it just ripped clean off, plus the chassis was already dented and warped from shipping. Structurally it’s kind of a concussed little case that doesn’t even sit flat, but it does have some surprisingly decent features for the money—like USB-C on the front and five pre-installed RGB fans that aren’t just a Molex centipede. Building in it is a mix of “this is fine” and “who designed this?” Cable management space is basically two finger widths, the front I/O cable placement is a pain to hide, and it uses the individual front-panel connectors (instant disqualification in my book). Cooler compatibility is weird: a Hyper 212-sized tower cooler just barely fits, my AK620 fits but it’s a tight squeeze, and 240mm AIO support is extremely picky—some radiators simply don’t fit, while a smaller 240 can squeeze in up top (even then, screw alignment can be sketchy because the case is bent). The upside is temps: it performs like an open-air case, with the GPU hovering around ~63°C, but you can hear the fans clearly because there’s basically nothing blocking sound.
