Good morning, unicorn beauties. In this vlog I’m taking you with me while I head back to the radiation clinic with my husband, because we got some really scary news—his tumors have grown twice the size. We were supposed to fly out to LA/California for treatments, but he got really sick with a lot of lung pain, and the doctor advised us not to fly. So instead, they decided to do more aggressive radiation to try to shrink the tumors, especially because it’s close to his heart and they have to be super precise. While we’re waiting, we talk about how the chemo pill (Votrient) turned his hair white and how it’s finally coming back, plus the weight he’s lost in just a couple weeks. I also share what we’ve been researching online—things like going more plant-based, eating a lot of greens/chlorophyll, juicing, vitamins, and avoiding sugar/starchy foods that people say can feed tumor growth. After the appointment, I show the little tattoo markings they use to target radiation, and then I do a quick grocery haul with some of the healthier staples we’re trying to keep around right now.
