I’m back and it’s time for Talladega—25 laps of iRacing Truck chaos where you don’t show up to make friends, you show up to win and crash. From the jump I’m not hanging in the back, and lap one is already getting sketchy with guys dragging the brake, door slamming, and trying to pin lanes when nobody’s going with them. The five truck turns into a straight-up menace, and it doesn’t take long before the field pays for it with the first big one. After the caution I restart up front behind “team DUI,” get a monster shove, and I’m leading Talladega in my return to YouTube. The rest of the race is all about managing insane pushes—especially in the turns—because trucks don’t take bumps like the Cup car does. I get shuffled, take a breather, then claw back into the top five while the leaders keep wrecking around me. On the white flag I’m hunting a slingshot, but without enough help on the outside, it turns into a “take the top five and live to fight another day” kind of finish.
