We went live at Darlington Raceway for the DLBTV Racing League, and I came into this one with one goal: survive, don’t do wheel damage, and try to park this baby in victory lane. It’s 100 laps with a halfway yellow on lap 50, and with this newer horsepower package, the car is sketchy—especially on restarts. I’m telling you right now: Darlington stripe equals wheel damage. This track will humble you quick if you start racing people instead of racing the track. In this race I’m talking through the strategy, the chaos, and the little things that matter at Darlington—like easing into the throttle, managing tire falloff once the track shades over, and knowing when you’re in the “danger zone” around the nukes in the pack. I went from deep in the field up into the top 10 by picking people off one at a time, but the whole night was a fight against sun glare, wheel spin, and guys trying to go three-wide where you absolutely should not.
