I noticed a number of new dashboards in the recent selfh.st newsletter this week and it's been a while since we looked at a dashboard, so I picked some from the newsletter that we're going to look at. About This Video

In this livestream I’m hanging out with you guys and diving into a handful of new(ish) homelab dashboards I spotted in the selfh.st newsletter. It’s been a minute since we looked at dashboards, and people clearly love them, so I grabbed four projects and started poking around to see what’s actually worth your time. Along the way, we even hit the classic homelab problem—DNS. I’d just switched my network over to Unbound behind AdGuard Home, and of course the stream started buffering… because it’s always DNS. The main one I actually installed and demo’d was RoamPage. I really like the aesthetic, and I love that it’s dead simple to add categories, services, and links right from the UI (no YAML headache). It also does quick service checks so you can see if something’s up, and you can add multiple servers for the same service (like two AdGuard instances). The big downside I ran into is layout control: once you start adding more sections, you end up “Tetris-ing” things around, and I really want a clean way to force a category into the left or right column. We also talked about AI-assisted vs vibe-coded projects—AI doesn’t bother me, but I’m not trusting anything in production until someone qualified has reviewed the code.
