I tested and compared five shades of the Westman Atelier Contour Stick, including three of the new shade expansion shades, and I swatched everything side-by-side so you can actually see the undertones. I demoed Au Lait vs Biscuit (and yes, I said “Au Lait, Biscuit, potato” because that’s where we were), then I moved into Coco vs Toast, and finished with Truffle. My goal was simple: help you figure out which shade makes sense for your skin tone and whether you’re truly contouring… or more bronzing. On my fair-to-light skin, Au Lait was the standout if you want a true contour effect—neutral, nudey, and chiseled without going gray or too dark. Biscuit is gorgeous, but on me it reads more bronzy because of that brown undertone. Coco, to my eye, is not a contour shade at all—it’s giving blush (Gucci Westman even described it that way), while Toast and Truffle are beautiful warming shades that function more like bronzers on my complexion. And because I can’t resist being influenced, I also tried the Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Highlight in Peau De Peony. It’s that lit-from-within, springy lilac-pink moment—and the way it changes depending on finger vs brush application is chef’s kiss.
