Hey beauties—today I’m testing three brand new limited edition Dior Diorshow 5 Couleurs “Cannage” palettes: 563 Brown Brocart, 073 Midnight Lamé, and 964 Lilac Tulle. I swatch each shade (two swipes so you can really see the build), then I demo multiple looks so we can get a true feel for pigment, blendability, and how these wear on the eyes. If you watched my last Dior eyeshadow review, you already know I was not impressed with that spring release—so I went into this one hoping Dior would redeem itself in my very, very humble opinion. My honest take: this formula is definitely an improvement from the last collection and the color stories are pretty, but it’s still a bit powdery for my personal preference. I also noticed hard pan happening quickly, and I wasn’t “wow, my socks are blown off” with Brown Brocart—it's fine, just not special. Midnight Lamé is beautiful and more pigmented, but I still compare it to my Chanel Denim. Lilac Tulle is the standout and my favorite; it’s fun, springy, and I actually liked it more once I switched primers (Urban Decay worked better for me than my Lisa Eldridge base). Overall, Dior eyeshadow and I? We’re on a break—but I’ll keep you posted.
