For the Rouge Allure Velvet shades, I swatched and tried on Rencontre, Crush, and Premier Pas. They’re what I’d call a “luminous matte”—super creamy, gliding on like a dream, and they make the lips look really smooth and plush. If I had to pick a favorite from that line, Crush is it: the perfect everyday neutral that still has life to it. Then we move into the newly reformulated Rouge Coco satin lipsticks (over 80% natural ingredients, with more lip-care focus like peptides). I tested Mademoiselle, Legende, the Paris shade (you know the one), and Edimburg. They’re hydrating, lightly rose-scented, and honestly gorgeous—but I do think you’ll get the cleanest edges with a lip liner, especially on the deeper shades.
