Hey beauties—today I’m putting the brand new Laneige JuicePop Box Lip Tints to the test (in the middle of a polar vortex, no less… so yes, my lips were giving crocodile-back). I picked up five of the eight shades—Lo-Fi Mauve, DJ Plum, Electro Berry, Red Classic, and Jazzy Jam—and I swatch each one, build them up in layers, and then demo them on my lips so you can see the shine, the color payoff, and what kind of stain you’re actually left with after blotting. Laneige claims this is a water-to-oil formula that’s “80% oil wrapped in 20% water” with peptides and ceramides, and while the science makes me nervous, the feel does not: it goes on like water and settles into a lightweight oil. My first impressions are mixed in the best way—because comfort and hydration are truly excellent, but I did notice some patchiness settling into fine lines (and yes, my lips were extra dry). Compared to Kulfi, I think Kulfi stains more uniformly and hits harder, but Laneige is more hydrating and easy to wear.
