About This Video

The iPhone Air is here, and I’ve been testing it in real-world use for the last two weeks to see if Apple’s “thinnest, lightest iPhone” is actually worth the hype. In this video I break down the stuff that matters day-to-day: the 5.6mm design with a grade 5 titanium frame, how it feels in the hand (yes, it’s a little slippery), the surprisingly “Pro-level” 6.5-inch 120Hz display that hits up to 3,000 nits, and the trade-offs Apple had to make to get it this thin—like the single speaker and USB 2 speeds over USB‑C. Camera-wise, you’re working with one 48MP Fusion rear camera (no ultrawide, no telephoto, no RAW), but the results are honestly excellent for casual shooting: natural color, sharp detail, and solid dynamic range. Battery life landed basically where my 16 Pro was: full-day usability, but you’ll check the percentage a few times—especially on heavier days. I also talk connectivity with the new C1X modem (sub‑6 only), where it’s mostly fine, but I’ve had a few frustrating “bars but nothing loads” moments. Bottom line: I’m switching. The wow factor fades a bit, but the magic doesn’t—because it’s still a Pro-feeling experience in something that genuinely feels like a sheet of glass.
