About This Video

I’m out at the World of Concrete trade show at the Milwaukee booth, and I got hands-on with their brand-new M18 10-1/4" rear-handle circular saw (3026-20). Becca from Milwaukee walked me through the big stuff carpenters actually care about: power, weight, cut capacity, and what makes this saw different in the cordless rear-handle market. Milwaukee’s pitching it as the most powerful and lightest-weight 10-1/4" cordless circular saw—10.3 lbs bare tool, and 13.6 lbs with the Forge 12Ah battery they’re pairing it with for best performance. The headline spec is the 3-13/16" depth of cut, which means you can rip through 4x material in a single pass—exactly what you want for framing and big stock. They also added Auto-Stop advanced kickback protection, designed to detect a severe kickback and stop the blade faster than you can react. I also asked the practical question: what if you can’t find 10-1/4" blades? Milwaukee says you can run a standard 10" blade and still handle 4x cuts, and at a 45° bevel you’re looking at 2-3/4" depth. I made a couple cuts on-site (with the vacuum running so we don’t make a mess), and my first impression was simple: it feels pretty light and nicely balanced for a rear-handle.
