I’m out at the Flex booth at the JLC trade show with Mitch, and we’re getting hands-on with a brand-new Flex 24-volt brushless HEPA vacuum that’s coming in at about 2.5 gallons. This thing is built to be portable and jobsite-friendly—wet/dry capable, around 63 CFM, and light enough that it feels like a suitcase carry. Flex has it set up to run on their 24V batteries, and they’re claiming roughly 25–30 minutes of runtime, which tracks with the advantage of their 24V pack design. What really caught my attention is the cleanup setup: a HEPA cartridge filter plus a fleece filter bag inside. I’m a bag guy—I’ll say it every time—because it’s just cleaner when it comes time to empty it. Another smart detail is the Stack Pack compatibility: it’s a half-size unit that mounts to the Stack Pack system, and you can still mount something else alongside it. We were using it all day to collect wood dust while cutting, and the hose setup is meant to connect up to your tools for dust collection.
