I’m at World of Concrete at the Milwaukee booth with Ethan, and we’re digging into Milwaukee’s brand-new M12/M18 Simultaneous 4-Bay Super Charger (48-59-1818). The big headline is true simultaneous charging—no more “one, two, three” style charging where the bays take turns. You’ve got two dedicated M18 bays plus two hybrid bays that can take either M18 or M12, which is exactly what a real jobsite needs when you’re running mixed platforms all day. We also talked about COOL-CYCLE, which is active cooling that forces air through compatible packs (like the FORGE batteries with ventilation holes) to cool them down fast. Cooler packs mean you can charge sooner, charge faster, and generally get more productivity through the day—plus heat is the enemy of battery longevity, so cooling helps there too. One thing it doesn’t do: it won’t warm up a cold battery (Northeast guys, you know the struggle). Milwaukee’s demo numbers were pretty wild: compared to a standard charger getting about 40% on a high-cap pack in 90 minutes, this Super Charger is aimed at charging four high-cap packs to 100% in about 90 minutes—built for crews sharing batteries. It’s also PACKOUT compatible, has about a 6-foot cord with a wrap, and it’s slated to launch this summer (price still TBD).
