About This Video

I’m at the World of Concrete trade show in the Milwaukee booth, and I got hands-on with Milwaukee’s new M18 FUEL 18 lb SDS MAX demolition hammer (Model 3018-22HD). This is a chipping/demo-only tool—no drilling—built to give you corded-level performance without dragging cords, hunting outlets, or firing up a generator. Milwaukee’s pitch is that it’s the hardest-hitting hammer in the 18 lb class, and on first feel, it’s got serious punch for controlled demolition like chipping concrete, walls, floors, and tie-ins. Britney walked me through the big features: four speed settings for job-matched control, ONE-KEY for tracking/management, and their AVS anti-vibration system that uses internal movement/dead space to reduce what transfers into your hands. The other standout is VACLINK wireless dust control built right into the tool—pair it to a compatible extractor and the vacuum kicks on when you pull the trigger. Weight-wise, it’s about 17 lbs bare and roughly 20 lbs with a battery, and when I picked it up I immediately noticed it felt lighter than the demo hammer I’m used to. Availability is slated for September 2026, with a kit option that includes two 12.0 batteries at about $1,999.
