Compared to 2024, my monthly views are down 65%, watch time is down 63%, subscription rate is down 72%, and revenue is down 75%. The reality is traditional tutorials aren’t performing the way they used to, and if I’m going to keep putting in the time and effort, I need to pivot. But this isn’t just about YouTube metrics. I work as a devrel at Builder.io, and staying current with AI and developer marketing is not optional. New tools and workflows are dropping almost daily, and I’ve felt that pressure and fear of falling behind—plus I know a lot of devs feel the same. So I’m going back to what I do best: learning by teaching. For 2026, I’m going to document my AI learning journey as a developer—learn something, test it, and show you what actually worked so we can level up together. I’m skipping the hype and the “AI replacing devs” fear content, and focusing on what’s genuinely useful, including being upfront about sponsors and costs when AI tools get expensive.
