In this video I’m going over the Synty Sci‑Fi Humble Bundle and why it’s such a solid deal for game dev. For $30 you’re getting eight items (a little over $600 in value), and it also supports Child’s Play charity. I break down what’s included and then I open everything up in Unreal so you can actually see what you’re buying—because screenshots never tell the full story. I start with the Sidekick Creator Tool + Sci‑Fi Soldiers, and I love how painless it is: I can randomize a character, customize helmets/body types, save a preset, and it already works with the default third person mannequin. Then I jump into the Synty FX/particles pack, and it’s basically never-ending—rain, snow, fog, portals, missiles, bullets, flamethrowers, level-up VFX, racing boosts… it’s just super usable for anything from mech shooters to more cartoony styles. After that I show the Sci‑Fi Soldier HUD pack (animated bars, portraits, compasses, weapon wheels, quest screen examples), plus the Sci‑Fi City pack with modular cyberpunk/GTA-style pieces.
