In today’s video I tested a full face of new (and new-to-me) drugstore makeup for January 2026, and honestly… there have been so many releases lately that I had to narrow it down. I started with the Technic Pore Perfect Primer on my pore-y areas (nose/cheeks) and it genuinely blurred straight away — it does leave a bit of a white cast, but you’re going over it with foundation anyway so I didn’t mind. For eyes I used the Sheglam Retro Coast palette and kept it light and wearable: soft mattes in the crease and outer corner, then a pale shimmer on the lid. The standouts for me were the new Maybelline Body mascara (proper “lashes I didn’t realise I had” vibes after two coats) and the Maybelline Lifter Plump & Glow foundation. I hunted high and low for it, guessed my shade online, and it actually worked — medium coverage, dries down nicely, and gives that natural glow without looking like an oil slick. I warmed everything up with the HNB bronzer tint, added a gorgeous coral Technic liquid blush, and finished with the NYX Buttermelt Stix highlighter (very similar effect to my beloved Merit Day Glow, just way cheaper). The only real let-down was the Technic setting mist because mine kept shooting out a jet stream, so I swapped to my Iconic spray to save the makeup.
