In today’s video I’m putting the *new formulation* of the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation to the test — and I’m doing it properly: application demo, shade check, oxidation thoughts, and an 8+ hour wear test on my combination skin. I tried the original a couple of years ago and, if I’m being totally honest, I was a bit mixed on it (especially when my skin was drier). It clung to dry patches by the end of the day and didn’t look as great as the hype suggested. So when I saw they’d reformulated it with skincare bits like niacinamide and extended the shade range, I was genuinely intrigued. I went for shade 3.75 and the colour match was *really* good for me — nice and cool with a bit of pink. The formula is super fluid and lightweight, and on my skin it gave a light-to-medium, buildable coverage with a really pretty natural glow (not greasy). I did have a slightly odd patch moment when I layered cream bronzer, but it sorted itself out once I went in with a balmy highlight. After nearly 8 hours, it still looked “pretty good” with no obvious separation, and I was impressed by how well it dried down — I expected transfer and got basically none. Overall, this wears a lot better on me than the older version I tried.
