About This Video

This video is me finally crossing the finish line on my orc army: the last mini standing was an orc trukk, plus a couple of basing bits, and then it’s genuinely 100% done. I walk you through the whole force in the rough order I painted it, what I learned over the process, and—most importantly—why each unit made the cut. I’ve painted Warhammer for 20 years, but this specific army took me about 2 years, and yeah… real life (full-time job, girlfriend, friends, surviving in this economy) is a big part of why it takes as long as it takes. I show my Warboss (with the sentimental twist: it’s the first model my dad ever painted, and I repainted it), my Beast Snagga Boys and their boss (my least favourite to paint, even though he’s a cool model), the repainted Orc Boyz from Assault on Black Reach, and some of the utility picks like Ufthak Blackhawk and Runtherd + Gretchin (speedpaint test because they’re basically backfield objective goblins). Then we get into the big fun stuff: my Stompa (massive, a proper distraction, and honestly cost-effective for the points) and Ghazghkull Thraka—my favourite model and my warlord—with battle damage. I wrap up with Meganobz, a Painboy because I like having a “medic,” Deffkoptas for reserves nuisance plays, and the Trukks to get my lads up the board.
