Most people hear “Temu” and immediately think “scam,” so I did what I always do: I tested it myself with Warhammer hobby stuff—specifically 3D printed minis and terrain—to see what’s actually legit and what’s a waste of money. I’m rating each item on a scam scale (10 = total scam, 0 = not a scam) based on price vs quality and what you realistically get in the mail. I picked up a few different 28mm sci‑fi “heavy tanks” (unassembled resin prints) and honestly… for around £6–£9 each, I can’t be that mad. You absolutely can see print lines and the details aren’t Games Workshop crisp, but for cheap army filler or a fun project, they land around a 3–5/10 on my scam scale. I also grabbed a molded stone staircase (£3.86) that’s actually solid for basing or a little diorama moment (2/10 scam), and a medieval house terrain piece for £15.27 that’s my favorite of the lot—flat pack, visible lines, but genuinely cool (2/10 scam). Not everything was a win though. The crater set had a ridiculous “recommended retail” claim and the print quality is rough (I gave it a 7/10 scam even though they’re a decent size). And the tiny corpse minis? That’s the one item I genuinely felt scammed by—way smaller than expected and not clearly sized (9/10 scam).
